Have you ever heard about a Faucet? Well, possibly you use it in daily life yet are unaware about it. A faucet is any device that is used for controlling the flow of liquid from a pipe or something alike. Here in this blog, we will have a look at different kinds of faucets.
1. Ball Faucet
These kinds of faucets are usually used in the kitchens.
These faucets have a plastic or metal ball inside it to stop or start the flow
of water. These faucets usually have a single handle that is attached to a
round cap which is located directly above the spout.
2. Cartridge Faucet
This is a two handle faucet that utilizes a stem cartridge that
moves up and down to start or stop the flow of water. This faucet could be
clearly identified while using the knob. The up or down movement is said to be
done through two handles and thus it is said as cartridge faucet.
3. Disc Faucet
This is one of the latest designs of faucets. These discs
have a single level that is located on the top of the wide cylindrical body.
These faucets are used to mix the cold and hot water in a mixing chamber. These disc faucets can control a two-sided water flow making the water
temperature to be controlled and adjusted in the tap. This is used in situations where the cold and hot water is
required.
4. Compression Washer Faucet
Where disc faucet is one of the latest faucet designs
present in the market there at the same time you can also find compression
washer faucet which is the oldest faucet designs. These are like normal faucets
which require rotation to control the flow of water. These are usually inexpensive
but they are required to be replaced too soon as they might be prone to leaks.
These were the few
kinds of faucets that you can find in the market in the recent times however
one thing that you are required to consider while buying the same is that these
faucets must be UPC faucets. UPC is a certification
of quality that provided to the companies that are making the faucets. Checking
