A 510 thread battery is a commonly used phrase to
describe the threading that connects the vape cartridges and batteries. These
are lithium ion batteries which require a constant
rate of charge and should not be attached
to a fast charger. It can be extremely dangerous to use other chargers to
charge these batteries especially if you have lost your lithium battery
charger.
One of the best ways to charge the 510 thread battery is to
use a USB cable connected to a computer. A USB cable consists of data wires and ground wires with charging wires. You can connect
the USB cable to charge your Lithium ion
battery. A USB cable provides 5 volts o charge from your computer with a
milliamp current of 100 mA to 500 mA.
Here are three steps that you
can follow to charge your lithium battery.
Step 1:
Check
if your 510 thread battery
has a USB connecting a port on it as most devices have a USB socket.
Step 2:
Inset
the USB cable into the vape USB socket.
You have to make sure that the lithium ion
battery is inserted in the vape.
Step 3:
Attach the other end of the USB cable in the computer USB
port. Make sure that your computer is running to charge the battery. Once it has started to charge your device will indicate
when the battery is charged.
Other
than using a USB cable and computer you can also charge a 510 battery with an
AC adapter. You can simply attach your AC
adapter to any wall outlet and insert the USB cable in it. As soon as you plug
in your AC adapter to the outlet, it is going to turn on red indicating that
it’s working. When you attach your USB cable and vape to it, the light on the
vape will turn red or green indicating
that it has started to charge.
You need to remember that lithium batteries are not like the
traditional ones needing to charge fully to work. They are able to work perfectly fine even if they are charged a half way through. Lithium batteries are extremely sensitive to voltage, and if they are
exposed to unstable voltage,
chances are they can explode. In order to
