Baton, have you heard this word?
Well, most of the people have not heard about baton. Baton is said to be a
stick or tool that is used in defense or compliance. It is made up of metal,
plastic or rubber. The metal is used in the materials to make the hard batons
that could be used to make the contemplation's on defense with more power.
However, rubber and plastic could be used in the considerations of making it
easy to carry. The concept of the expandable baton was introduced with the same thought. The expandable baton could be
easily carried and could be stored in a purse or a bag which then could be used
for defense. This could be said that due to this specification the expandable
baton is becoming a trend.
If we talk about why baton is
legal in many states then it could be said that it is used for the defense as
it could rarely be used with the intention
to kill. Like the material used in it usually could injure someone but could
not kill that individual which is this tool is considered to be legal in many
regions.
The baton was initially carried by
London police in the Victorian era and it was said that these could be used to
make the law to be enforced in the region by
handling the people through this. However, then people considered as a weapon
for defense and now the same is to be found with normal people as well.
Designs of Batons
There are a number of designs that
could be found for the batons. The first that we could see is a straight stick.
This is the simplest and the oldest baton that is still in use. This was
designed in the times of ancient Egyptians and was used to make the contemplation's of resolving the civil disturbances. Then a side handle baton was introduced to
increase the handling of batons for police officers. This had a T shape which
made it easy for people to carry or hold it.
Then came in Expandable baton which was made of the materials that could
make it be folded and put back in the back or even pockets at sometimes so that
people might have ease on carrying it to
different places.
The baton is a defensive that you
can use for a number of purposes and now you know almost everything about it.
